Battling to Save Iceni

The Iceni Project provides leading drug rehabilitation treatment in Ipswich, whose name became nationally known when it helped rehabilitate addicts in the aftermath of the murders of local sex workers. In the autumn of 2010 the work of Iceni was threatened by funding bodies, including Suffolk NHS, who awarded contracts according to old Home Office guidance against the advice of the new Coalition Government.  Ben raised the issue twice in the House of Commons and took representatives from Iceni to meet ministers in Whitehall to find a new way ahead.
