Flood Protection for Wherstead Road
Wherstead Road has long been vulnerable to flooding. Ben has been pressing the Environment Agency and government to ensure that residents are protected from a storm surge, especially in the 128 properties within area directly at risk from floods. As a result the Environment Agency announced it will commit the £5m needed to build the scheme, with construction starting in late 2011.
