Terrible trains

The government has just announced the winner of the tender to produce the next generation intercity trains.  Guess where they won’t be running?  Yep – the London-Norwich mainline. 

Why not?  Because we have got so used to having the hand-me-downs from the rest of the network, pre-knackered by hundreds of thousands of journeys between London and Scotland, that we’ve almost forgotten that new trains exist.  It’s time someone started shouting about this – but, as usual – the silence is deafening from our local MP.
