Conservatives put Ipswich back on the Cultural Map

Following months of negotiations, part of the internationally renowned Saatchi Collection of modern art will be coming to Ipswich this summer. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity for everyone in the town and surrounding areas to enjoy and learn about this unique collection, as well as to attract more tourists to the area.

Working with Ben Gummer, Conservative Parliamentary Candidate, Judy Terry (Rushmere Ward Councilor and Portfolio Holder for Culture & Leisure at Ipswich Borough Council) led the project, which will be based at the former Art College in High Street.

Judy was also instrumental in the Azerbaijan decision to make Ipswich the training camp for their Olympic and Paralympic teams for 2012. This will be linked to various events in the next two years so we can all find out more about each other's cultures.

"We are doing everything we can to promote Ipswich, and attract inward investment," says Judy. "These two projects will be very good for our local economy."
